Please read Smokey's story below!
Raisin is a
special cat who needs a special home
Raisin is a 1-2 yr. old Brown DLH neutered male. He was found outside
after being hit by a car, limping on 3 legs. He only weighed 5 pounds and
was very, very emaciated. The vet. was unable to operate on him at the
time due to his malnourished state, worms and fleas. As soon as he got up
to 10 pounds, he was able to have surgery to repair his fractured and
dislocated leg. Unfortunately, the vet was unable to repair the leg and
had to amputate it. Then Raisin decided he knew more than the vet. and
pulled out his sutures. They had to be replaced with stainless steel
sutures!! He is healed up now, sutures out and ready to go home. He is a
very sweet, affectionate cat and is good with cats and dogs. Raisin is now
a very active cat. He runs around and plays with the other cats on his 3
legs just like any 4-legged cat.
Are you the loving home Smokey needs?
Smokey is a Grey DSH 6 mo. old male
kitten who was abandoned in the country in the cold of winter in SE
Michigan. He was brought to The Cat Connection cat rescue by the farm
owner. He is a very affectionate, outgoing, lovely cat who is good with
other cats and dogs. Unfortunately, when we took him to the vet. he tested
positive for feline leukemia. The IFA test confirmed the original positive
SNAP test which diagnosed his feline leukemia. Smokey has been neutered
and micro-chipped and has his Rabies vaccine and distemper shots. He has
no symptoms of disease. He is playful and active and eats his dry food
well. Unfortunately, he is confined to the cold enclosed porch at the
foster home as he cannot be with the other cats. Smokey needs a loving
home where he can live as long as his condition permits, which could
hopefully be a long time

Sponsors needed: please consider donating $40 to spay/neuter a
cat for low-income owners.
The
Cat Connection will have kittens available for adoption at the Troy Petco
on Coolidge Rd, north of 14 Mile Rd, on Saturdays from 12 to 4pm.
Please call the above number concerning any cats previously adopted from
The Cat Connection. Thank you.
The Cat Connection tests all its
cats for leukemia and FIV.
All have age appropriate shots for distemper,
leukemia and rabies, and are fecal tested,
wormed, microchipped and litter trained.
All cats/kittens/dogs 4 months or older are
spayed/neutered.
